Tips from fellow students:
"Use the textbook features along with practice problems. It is really easy to read the textbook and use it as a resource for classes. Be sure to check out the highlight option, [it’s] easier to do notes in your textbook."
Jazmin Manovapillai
University of North Texas
“Always talk to your teacher or TA if something is confusing you when trying to navigate, because it is tough at first. Also, there’s an app!”
Spencer Schneider
Florida State University

We offer three purchase options for students: $33 for a 4-month subscription; $53 for a 12-month subscription; $96 for a 4-year subscription. You can find out more on our Pricing page. If your instructor is assigning a Top Hat interactive textbook as part of your course, your subscription price will be adjusted to include the price of the text.

When you enroll in a Top Hat course that requires paid Top Hat products, you will usually have the option to initiate a 14-day free trial for the course from the checkout page. You will see the option to start a free trial for your instructor's course above the required course materials listed at checkout. The trial will start as soon as you click the Start 14 Day Free Trial button on the checkout page. In order to take full advantage of the free trial, we recommend starting the trial on or after your first day of class. That way you can use Top Hat in your course for free for the first two weeks of class. Please note that the free trial option only appears when enrolling in a course through a web browser as opposed to through the mobile app.
You can request a refund for a Top Hat product for a period of up to 14 days following your purchase. When a refund is granted, your access to the Top Hat products that were refunded will be immediately terminated and all records (including grades) associated with the products will be permanently deleted. Top Hat can only provide refunds for Top Hat products purchased directly from tophat.com, while Top Hat access keys purchased at a campus bookstore can only be refunded by the bookstore. For more information on requesting a refund, check out this support article.
